Half Sibling DNA Test
This sibling testing option assumes the alleged siblings share one common biological parent. It is recommended that the mother of one of the siblings partakes in the testing process if she is available. This testing option is normally used to help determine paternity or for immigration purposes.

Full vs Half DNA Test
This sibling test option is for alleged siblings who are unsure they share both mother and father.

Oftentimes this occurs during adoption and siblings reconnect to determine if they are biologically related. If this is your circumstance, it is recommended that you start with a half sibling DNA test then expand to full if the first test shows both siblings share a common parent.
