Can military require paternity test?
Does the military request paternity testing be performed?
No. The military does not require paternity testing be performed if an unmarried couple conceived a child in the military. In fact, the military is not involved in establishing the paternity of child.
If you are need to establish paternity military personnel must go through the same process of establishing paternity as civilians. Either both alleged father and mother can agree to perform a DNA test or either parent can file paternity petition with a Family Court Judge. If the petition is accepted a court ordered will be issued to the defendant.
